But Anelka has maybe, 4 years left at the top, where as this kids not even 20 yet.

Going off our recent buying plan, Benzema is a more likely purchase, even at £30m, look at Rooney, Nani and Anderson.

yeah, that's a point. young potential, with the ability to play and perform NOW seems to be the policy at the moment. which is positive i think

Couldn't possibly demand a first team place automatically, would have to work at it. Plus the pressure on him would be reduced, regardless of the fee, because we are not looking exclusively to him for a performance, allowing him time to bed in nicely.

And, it's only half of next seasons TV money, really.

yeah i realise that he wouldn't necessarily be first choice. but he could come in and be at a decent level, a la anderson in scholes' place this year if needed. doubt we'll sign him anyway...
