Doesn't sound like a smokescreen.

Reuters is reporting it's a muscle tear in his right leg.

In some ways it's a shame as it would have been good to see him play against us. On the other hand, even though he's been poor this season, a Champions League semi might have been enough to motivate him for an hour or two.

the reason he's getting severe muscle tears is because he's obviously not training properly or taking care of himself.

He won't be a barca for much longer, which is a shame because you know who they'll be after to replace him.....

As long as we don't do anything stupid against Roma - ie; concede 3 or more goals we should be playing Barcelona in the semis.
The Ronaldiho injry is neither here nor there because with or without him they're still potentially a £#%&!ing great side.
We'll have to play at our VERY best to get past them.
I'm not fooled by their poor La Liga form.

Eto'o
Messi
Henry
Iniesta
Xavi
Deco
Bojan

etc..etc..

It'll be a high scoring tie. It's about time we got to another final. Let's hope we get the break.

Nah, I quite like Fletcher. He's a good player.

Obviously I knew who you really meant (sharp as a tac me) ...this summer will be a nightmare with the European Championships being on.
There'll be a different 'Ronnie's Off To Madrid/Barca/Chelsea/Milan' story every £#%&!ing day.
Hopefully if we've won at least one trophy he won't be interested.

If we don't win at least one trophy this season it will be a £#%&!ing tragedy.

Not sure he was really in contention to play anyway.

I'd be far happier seeing him in their front three. The alternative will probably be Messi or Iniesta alongside Henry and Eto'o.

Isn't Messi out with a knock too?Or is he just coming back?

Eiher way, I'm glad Ronaldinho is out. He's so out of form that there's no real chance of him performing, but on the night, he could knock us out on his own.Good news is this.

Ronaldinho is on his way out of Barca anyway.
he is going out with Rijkards daughter, however he has ben very publically playing about, Rijkards fuming and has hardly played him since.

Not in great form.

Anyway, Shalke will win the 2nd leg.
