The notion that the PL is the best league in the world is a daft one. It ebbs and flows, but the reality is a Spanish team won the CL and an Italian team won the Europa. No English teams competed in either final. It’s a competitive league but even that has been made a mockery of by City.

I think there is a legitimate question about the rules and their aims, that’s fair enough.

Don't forget that being 'the best league in the world' is purely a financial measurement these days. In that case, we do piss on everyone.

But, we have a Premier League manager who is a drug cheat managing a team that is being investigated for multiple illegal financial activities, who the press believe are the best thing since sliced bread and are being treated badly.
We have teams that are taken over by 'sovereign state' companies who are obviously altruistic in their beliefs in developing shit areas of Manchester/Birmingham/Newcastle.

And to think our greatest concern about foreign football used to be the fact that players were diving.

I wonder if the cartel know about Muslamic ray guns. Few of those would come in handy.
