It was more the fact that their expertise lies in selling low quality food rather than pele's beautiful game but I'm preprared to bow to your racial thesis; After all you're of Indian extraction and you know £#%&! all about footy.

£#%&!ing hell, reading a bit more into this, Blackburn sacked him because they want to reach 4th or 5th in the league and he doesn't meet their ambitions. Yet apparently at a transfer meeting, he wanted the likes of bentley and Robbie keane, and was offered Kris Boyd from Boro and Geovanni, formerly of Hull.

The players they have, if someone like Maradona comes in and tries to get them to abandon the style they currently play with and go to a more passing, football friendly tactic, I can see them going down.

I reckon they're just sat at home playing football manager. "look, if I can take Blackburn to the champions league final in 2 years with Francis Jeffers and marlon hardwood up front, with a 1m transfer budget, I'm sure you can."

The former England manager Graham Taylor says he will be boycotting turkey and chicken this Christmas in protest at the decision by the new Blackburn Rovers owners, Venky's, to sack Sam Allardyce.

The Indian poultry tycoons made the decision to dismiss Allardyce on Monday despite the manager's impressive record since arriving at Ewood Park.

Taylor, infamously depicted as a turnip during his time as England manager, told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "For the first time in many, many years I will be having roast beef for Christmas dinner rather than turkey or chicken.

"It will be my protest against what is happening at Blackburn Rovers and what is happening to our football in this country.

"What the hell is going on? I feel very strongly and passionate about this because I see the game being taken over by non-football people."

i always felt graham was treated terribly badly. this kind of principled and deeply courageous stand will go a long way to getting him the respect he deserves.

I have to say, I've heard a lot of very good reasons for boycotting turkey, but 'Sam Allardyce has been sacked' is a new one on me.
