It's really quite simple:

Anybody without a valid working class parents certificate (wcpc) to be refused entry.

Disband Liverpool F.C. and ban all their (former) fans from English football stadia for life.

Reintroduce terracing.

Limit ticket prices to £10.

Remove all tongues from Niall Quinn and Martin Tyler.

Anybody found turning up in a half and half scarf must themselves be torn in half at half time (half and half entertainment).

Anybody sporting a jester hat must have a spike driven through each jester prong, in line with the 'drive the point home' directive.

With these 7 simple measures, we can start to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

Really confusing this. They still have standing at football and rugby in this country so what is all this opposition to it?

just seen a piece on sky news about it. The premier league "are opposed to it" no surprise there then. And stewards reckon supporters standing are "harder to control".

Never going to happen.

I disagree. It might not happen in the next few years but eventually when the attendances drop significantly they will use it as a way to suck supporters back in.

Imagine not being old enough to have experienced terraces

Of course the kids have invented a new word to help them fit in. I £#%&!ing blush every time I hear one of them say 'goon'. Bless.

Must be terrible for them, just partying and having lots of sex with little to no responsibilities to go along with it. They're just compensating for no terraces.

£#%&!ing hell Germany has had standing areas since 1993 without incident and it creates a brilliant atmosphere in the grounds

All of the arguments about overcrowding and people being crushed are fair points but to just stick your fingers in your ears and refuse to listen to reasoned discussion about the subject is frustrating

An easy solution would be to keep the away areas of the ground all seated giving the home side the option to have a standing area, So if Liverpool or any other team where opposed to the idea they could keep there ground as it is

I read somewhere yesterday somebody moaning that terraces would drive away all the women and kids who now feel it's safe to come to football matches.

FFS Don't these people realise that it's a safe standing AREA, not a safe standing GROUND. Idiots.

They're not though. The new style terracing makes it physically impossible for a crush to develop, or rather no more likely than in an all seater stadium. People are still separated by rows, it's just that the seats flip up. At worst there are two rows of people together. You can't be crushed to death by one person stood behind you, unless it's a proper fat @#%&!. Not only that but it's got to be safer for getting away in the event of a fire or other reason for quick evacuation :high-vis jacket:

Sounds more like a positive point to me, any woman who isn't willing to stand for the 90 minute duration of a football match can gtf.
would love to see it, but it won't happen. clubs won't be able to charge £40+ for a ticket to stand, and it's all about money, i'm afraid.

incidentally, anybody know how peterborough get away with having terracing behind both goals even though they're in the championship?
Bloody Hell Duckers, auld bean. It's because Freggies Son is the manager innit

City backing it now.

http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereven...n-to-terracing

Obviously they are jumping on the bandwagon and need to look at every alternative to attract the supporters they need for world domination, but good to see other clubs backing it.

Will it make it easier to throw coins though?

38 Sunderland fans have had their season tickets taken off them due to persistent standing.

Maybe it being in the news will help the cause.
