A reminder that we finished 13th in 89/90

Also had a gate of just 26,698 at home

I know people who've seen their club fall out the football league. Abysmal is relative

Do comment similarly on a regular basis tbh. Any work whinging can get a "200 years ago you would be lucky to own shoes and would spend all day in a pitch black mine"

Still riding the high from the weekend, but that win made it a good season for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have hydrofluoric acid poured directly into my eyes than have to sit through another season like that, but what a great way to end it. This time last week the Erik In Chads were dwindling in numbers (but never in spirit), with a real sense of doom about what the future holds. Now? Hope has returned, the green shoots of genuine progress have seized our hearts, and we’re all anticipating the next season with real, albeit in some cases nervous, excitement.

That final will one day be noted on Wikipedia as the real turning point for Ten Hag, mark my words.

Polished the turd season one - trophy

Shifted some shit @#%&!s, awesome development of youngsters
Dealt some shit hands to sort out off the pitch, injuries spoke
for themselves, couldn’t polish the remaining turd, made mistakes,
Polished it enough to see off the vermin and Bert’s- hardened
himself in the United media furnace - season two - trophy

£#%&! the outers ‘it’s all changed these days’ narrative - this bloke is on the
same trajectory as SAF but like a trophy magnet sooner

can anyone find the pre season predictions thread?

guarantee some of the ignoramuses (ignorami?) voting "good" or "satisfactory" here are the same ones who thought we were going to win the league.

You'd be in for a shock.....

Those voting bad and very bad had us down for the league.....

It's why the outers are full of shit, our league position the s year is due to injuries and squad depth.....

the way spurs and villa played, we should have finished above both. the way we played ensured we didn't. if we'd finished top 4, it would have satisfactory under the circumstances. reasonable injuries and better tactics, we should have been challenging for the title.
