A thing of beauty

Absolutely - I can't remember ever seeing an individual goal quite like it. It deserves some proper analysis and maybe even a diagram, but having seen it many times, this is why it was so good:

Berbatov starts the move from a central defensive position, clearing the ball out from the edge of his own penalty area to Evra.

He then moves out to a left back position, whereby he and Evra have a 4 pass exchange (including a delightful back healed 1-2 with the Frenchman).

He then proceeds to a central midfielder position, receiving the final return pass from Evra, before spraying a cross field, inch perfect pass to Nani on the right that even Scholes would have been proud of.

He then takes up a center forward position, where he hits the first time shot into the top of the net from Nani's low cross.

Boom. What a £#%&!ing goal...Indeed it was a thing of beauty...

That's four positions he covered, expertly and skillfully. He basically should be credited with an assist as well the goal. Don't think I've ever seen it done before, at least not at this level....
