Kroos has been really poor. Somebody should tell the lad that Moyes isn't our manager anymore, so he can stop trying to scare off the scouts.

Pep needs to get better alternatives to Robben and Ribery in those creative forward roles, as well as Lewandowski.

Great midfielders but not enough players who can provide the incision. I suppose Thiago is a big miss in that respect.

Started hating him 18 months ago tbh, his disgraceful anti de gea campaign looked ridiculous and actually shameful now. Hes the best keeper in europe with courtouis.

Just imagine if Moyes had snided his way past Bayern and drawn Madrid

Yeh the £#%&!in £#%&!er. In one way he's right, United should be fast and aggressive, but that was knocked out of us years ago when we moved to a passive cagey game under Frogson.

He's just being a little Englander though. We don't want of that fancy tippy tappy football in our country etc... Just like the rest of the £#%&! pundits.

"Fast/ furious / aggressive and real!"

More like slow, comatosed and passive in recent years.
Barca cut through us pretty quickly to open the scoring at Wembley iirc.

But it's true that when it doesn't work it does look ponderous.

I do think that the game has moved on though and Guardiola will have to show he can adapt his style. The likes of Madrid are playing a style that was designed specifically to counter Barcelona. In their peak years the possession game did immense psychological damage as well as how hard it worked the opposition physically, great players utterly neutralized reduced to chasing the ball like conference players, ended up with teams not believing they could win. Messi a huge factor in all this of course
