Not a huge fan but I’m thinking in terms of what teams are most capable of knocking England out. That’s not to say they’ll beat Slovakia; on current form I reckon most teams could beat them should the Gods will it, but I’m going for a ‘better safe than sorry’ approach.

I honestly don’t know how people watch football on a regular basis outside of teams they support. Yes it’s the euros and it’s on in the background while I watch the cricket but it’s so mundane. Keeper, left back, keeper, right back, keeper….ass forward…….

I love the international tournaments. I know it’s of a lesser quality to club football but I get drawn in by the atmosphere and there’s always drama and upsets. Was thinking about this recently and I think I prefer the group stages and early knockouts to the semis and the final, generally speaking. Last WC final was fantastic but it feels like most of the time they’re always cagey affairs.
