Time is not on Everton’s side either. They have FFP to consider before July. We’re right to remain patient on this one.

There’s nothing wrong with taking our time to get the right deal. The difference has to be that we don’t let things drag on all summer, before either panicking and overpaying or panic buying last minute.

Everton and Villa are currently working around the FFP issue by selling each other players. Everton are also flogging a lot of their youth to try and not have to sell first team players.

As for the second part, we'll have to wait and see. I'm praying it's different this summer.
