Bit churlish of the BBC on its website to say his most memorable moment was the kids one. We all know, but in the circumstances ….

I’m sure the guy knows his wife when he sees her.

Besides, he didn’t get a badge.

Married an Irish woman and knows Hark.

As for AH…2 great things.

1) his book title. Tall, dark and Hansen.

2) a moment already posted

In fairness to him, it wasn’t a crazy statement at the time. We all had our doubts and absolutely nobody thought they’d win the Double ffs

My dad (who's Scottish) met him at a petrol station last year. They chatted for a while and apparently he's pretty sound. As he was leaving Hansen asked my dad if he knew who he is so he replied "yeah didn't I see you play left-back for Partick thistle in the 70s?"

Oh dear, I never thought he would have been one of the 'do you know who I am' brigade.

Excellent put-down reply mind you.

I met him at the BBC years ago (when Sportsnight was still on), he was friendly enough; had a very cheap looking suit on.

Good news. Always good for a rerun on the 96 title with his quote.
