If he wasn’t there the keeper wouldn’t have saved it I don’t think but that doesn’t come into it

The question is does the player standing in an offside position interfere with the ability for the opposition player to make a play on the ball
He’s standing right beside the keeper in the position he would have to dive to try to save it, so clearly he is

It’s nothing to do with VAR either as the on field decision was offside to begin with

Agree with Ziggy. He’s definitely interfering. Impossible to say whether it would or wouldn’t have been saved but the keeper’s dive is prevented.

If we’d (United) conceded that and it stood we’d be seething.

They should put the offside rule back to how it was, you are either on or off. Take out any chance of human subjectiveness, this would be especially beneficial to United as the country loves nothing more than us getting shafted.

Would be great if that was english officials last game. Regardless of the decision being right or wrong they want to make every game about them. The egos are out of control.
