if that's the booze that's incredibly sad

can only imagine finishing a career in football must be like coming out the army after 20 years or whatever for some people.... you're never going to get that buzz again of stepping out at old trafford (unless maybe you become a top manager) so what do you do.

would prob still take him ahead of Jones though

He was on the pop when Fergie took over wasn't he ?

Him, whiteside, Robson and a couple of others. Fergie decided that Robson was too useful to let go but sacked the others

Think he had a lot bigger issues in his life than retiring from football and his drinking was a symptom, poor fella has a lot of demons.
