They’re not going for players like that anymore.

They’ll walk away from Branthwaite and won’t get Yoro. They’ll probably get Todibo from Nice, eventually. This Zirkzee sounds plausible. Beyond that will depend on who is sold and for how much.

Edit: that Anselemo(?) from Boca sound plausible too, if the price is palatable.

Not a lot of midfielders.. Neves (too expensive), Amrabat , Thuram (cheap) tenuous, Hjumland, very tentative, Xavi Simmons (%@#$&!s), not a lot being talked about.

Probably reliant on selling Eriksen, Casemiro and Beek, at the minimum.

Should be the priority. One decent midfielder in the squad, and he’s 19, it’s £#%&!ing absurd.

Yeah it's definitely the broke reason

We’ll get in 3x, max. and even then will depend on sales. Already implied it will take time and “patience”. Still, as bad as last season was, we showed we can compete when we feel like it but can’t be arsed most of the time. Two or three decent recruits could make a difference if Erik can motivate the cba crew. One of each back four, mf and striker should show an improvement. If the likes of eg. Rashford can’t be motivated by euros omission :eek the new team upstairs should do what it takes or… they could show some bollox and bring Greenwood home.

Be patient, Brailsford/Wilcox et all are currently on their hands and knees at Carrington scrubbing the floors.
