Great to see an actual decent opening game. Certainly beats Qatar v Ecuador.

Can't see past Germany, they'll have too much for the tartan army, but you just never know ...

First game sets the tone for the tourney...
3-1 Germany

Fairly straight forward game to get us going.

Germany 0-1 Ecosse

Think it will be closer than it should be because it's a tournament opener, but I'm going 2-0 Germany.

Scotland is a beautiful country with great people and I want them to win, but I refuse the right to laugh at them if they don't.

I’ll be sympathetic to the Scots. The Welsh though? Basically guaranteed belly laughs when they lose.

Germany have been largely total shit for a while now, however the emergence of their younger talent into 21+ year olds rather than teenagers means they'll have experience & start to gel.

Some extraordinarily talented players like Musiala & Wirtz alongside the old heads of Kroos, Kimmich & Neuer etc.

Home advantage, 2006 was a long time ago but it was a great tournament for the Germans & they found their voices to support the national side again. Was in Berlin (to watch the final ) & the 3rd place play off they won & the streets were rammed with flags & people on the piss, it was absolutely brilliant.

Hope they have a big tournament & fall short in the semis against someone other than England.

Germany to get into their stride early as Scotland are basically shite, comfortable 2-0 win.

Strong association with United and the Sweaty Socks. Sir Matt, Frogson, Denis Law, Lou Macari, Martin Buchan etc etc.

I'm like Duckers really, wish them all the best, will laugh when they get humiliated.
